The history tour from Takoradi to the Central Region is a historically and culturally rich journey that takes you to two of the most significant reminders of the transatlantic slave trade. These castles played pivotal roles in the African slave trade and are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites, serving as powerful educational and reflective sites.

On arrival at the Takoradi port, a representative from Blastours will meet group at the pier of the cruise ship for a trip to the Central Region.
Continue trip to the Central Region, where we visit the Cape Coast Castle declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO World Heritage Foundation
After lunch at the Kokodo Guest House, we visit the Elmina Castle, another well-preserved Castle and slave dungeon built by the Portuguese in 1482.
Take a walk through the Elmina township including a visit to the fishing harbour, fish market and the St. Joseph Basilica
Return to Takoradi with a drive through Sekondi/Takoradi township and market.
