This centre can be seen in Abrafo in the Twifo Heman Lower Denkyira District in the Central Region. The initiative, undertaken by the Department of Entomology and Wildlife of the School of Biological Sciences of the University of Cape Coast, is to train rural farmers to keep stingless bees which are essential in pollination and crop production.
The Centre seeks to also develop honey-based medicines and baby colonies for sale and educate the youth on the importance of stingless bees to growth and wealth creation.
