Itinerary
Accra – Cape Coast
The group will be picked up from the Accra Mall for a coach ride to the Central Region.
On arrival, we visit the Cape Coast Castle, where participants will be met with drumming and horn blowing. Experience a walk through the Door of No Return. Marking the beginning of a perilous journey of our ancestors.
Stop for lunch at the Kokodo Restaurant.
In the late afternoon, we visit the Elmina Castle, built in 1482s by the Portuguese and experience a guided tour through the ancient town of Elmina.
End the day with a cultural drum & dance performance and storytelling at the beachfront.

Cape Coast – Assin Manso – Kumasi
Depart for Kumasi with a stopover at the Assin Manso Slave River, where slaves were kept, had a last bath in the “Donko Nsuo” before shipment to the New World.
On arrival visit the Manhyia Palace Museum, the seat of the Ashanti Kingdom.
End the day with a visit to the Kumasi Cultural Centre, where group will be welcomed with dinner and traditional music and dance performance of the Ashantis.

Kumasi – Tamale (A return to Royalty)
Early morning departure to the Tamale.
Enroute, we take a break at the Tano Boase Rock formation, which exhibits a variety of huge beautiful hanging and hollow rocks. Explore the sacred groves and caves, where villagers sought refuge during slave raids and tribal wars. A hike along the trails to spot antelopes, baboons and monkeys.
Also stopover at the Kintampo Waterfalls, a beautiful cascading waterfall in Ghana. The falls has a scenic view, surrounded by a forest rich in trees, particularly mahogany trees.
End the day in Tamale to join in celebrations of the Cultural Oneness Festival.

Tamale – Paga (200km) Cultural Roots Tours
Early morning departure to Paga, where we pay a courtesy call on His Royal Highness Nagonaab, Na-Pariyoung Kosom Asaga Yelzoya II (Paramount Chief, President of the Nabdam Traditional Council. His Highness will lead the group to visit the Pikwovo Slave Camp, a well-preserved slave camp which was created as a holding place for slaves travelling from the North to the slave market at Salaga.
In the afternoon, we return to Tamale through the Tongo Hills and Tenzug Shrine.
Return to Tamale in the late afternoon.

Cultural Fusion Durbar/ Street Carnival – Tamale
Today marks the Street Carnival with a Grand Durbar of Chiefs and Elders, to showcase the cultural diversity of the Northern Region, through colourful displays of ethnic outfits, parades and traditional dances. Witness colourful parades and captivating performances; as well as rich, time-honoured traditions and culture in dance, music, artistry, musketry and equestrian prowess from all the regions in Northern Ghana.

Business Forum/Youth Workshop/ Fashion Show – Tamale
Meet with investors and stakeholders from various sectors to dialogue on various issues including Youth development and entrepreneurship through digitalization.
Participants have the option to join in a workshop at the UDS Campus, primarily designed for young people to acquire digital content creation skills. The objective is to promote awareness through tourism and to drive economic growth in the communities.
Later in the evening, a fashion show will be held to display the unique northern fabric in contemporary styles.

Musical Concert – Tamale
Morning visit to the Salaga Slave market, which served as an important place where slaves were transported to the coast for export.
End the day with a grand musical concert at the Jubilee Park, where musicians from Northern Ghana showcase the talents. The festival is meant to highlights the artistic and musical prowess of the people of the North.
