Alex, the son of Argentinian refugees, grows up in Berlin during the 1980s. The adjustment to the new environment is more difficult for his parents than for Alex. Convinced of the idea that he can move objects with his mere thoughts, he tries to use his magical powers when the relationship between his parents starts to fall apart. Years later, on his trip to Buenos Aires, where his father lies dying, Alex tells his exceptional childhood story in a series of flashbacks.
