Epe-Ekpe (historic festival of Guins)

It's one of the most important ceremonies in West Africa. The Guins come from Ghana at the 17th century to install in the region of the lakes in 1663, Epe-Ekpe is the occasion to catch of the crowned stone (Kpessosso). This festival marks the beginning of the year for the Guin. It does not have fixed date but is generally celebrated in September of each year and some rare times in the month of August with Glidji Kpodji.
