Depart from Lomé to visit Glidji, the spiritual capital of the Guen tribe, visit the shrines, meet the Chief Priest of the Sacred Forest and learn about the ceremony of the raising of the sacred stone.
This trip is an experience where One can learn about cocoa, pineapple and other vegetation in thisGhana Cocoa area. You may make your own pineapple juice or eat raw cocoa. This farm is ecologically advanced, only organic farming techniques are used. A portion of your fee will go to support the training of young Ghanaians in agricultural techniques.
You may even plant a tree and leave your heart in Ghana . Lunch is rice and chicken served outside on the farm. This is an outing, wear appropriate shoes and clothing a hat is recommended. Price includes a modest lunch, drinks and tour of this Centre.
Group will be picked up from the Takoradi port/Tema Port for a day trip to the Central Region.
On arrival, we visit the Cape Coast Castle declared as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO World Heritage Foundation and its museum (the West African Historical Museum).
After lunch, we will also visit the Elmina Castle, another well-preserved Castle and slave dungeon built by the Portuguese in 1482. This castle was the first European structure built in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Return to Takoradi/Tema/Accra in the late afternoon.
Visit to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial park , the National Museum and Archives and experience the hussle and bussle of our local Makola market. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing at a beach resort.
